Finance Manager

Luyanda Maqungo is our Finance Manager. He is an actuary by profession but has always had a love and passion for the arts.  He is an eclectic and innovative thinker. His leadership approach is rooted in being consistent, accountable and having integrity. He is an empowering leader that is passionate about using the arts to transform the lives of the underprivileged members of our community.

Managing Director

 

Ntombi Nkuna is our Managing Director. She is an ambitious academic, theatre and film director, lecturer and performance art coach/trainer. She is a Wits University graduate. She has years of experience in education and training in higher education level. She specializes in drama and theatre training as well as TV Presenting and Screen Acting education and training. She is a business woman that is driven with an arts entrepreneurial spirit. She is passionate about the arts, cultivating young talents and developing our community in creative ways.

She is a bold, nurturing and compassionate leader.

Head Administrator

 

Lehlohonolo Motaung Pitso is our Head Administrator. He is an actor by profession, studied towards his Diploma in Professional Acting for Camera at CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. He is hard working and a determined young man. He is bubble, friendly and approachable. Currently heading our Art Corner Sunday project.

 

Creative Projects Officer 

 

Lunga Luchy Mofokeng is our Creative Projects Officer.  He is a professional actor, who graduated top of his class from CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts (Braamfontein). He has won various awards in theatre such as the The Hillbrow Inner City High School and Ishashalazi Community Theatre Festival, proving his talent and skills in the performance field. He performed at the National Arts Festival starring in the play called The Kaffirs. His television debut was in 2017 in Ring of Lies, but his big industry break is his feature in the award winning television drama series The River playing the role of Andile. He is a natural creative that has harnessed his skills through intense training and is passionate about sharing his gifts and skills with young participants in our projects.

Funding & Sponsorship Officer

​

Samkelo Makhanya, better known as Charlie Samson, is our Funding and Sponsorship Officer. He is a young overall creative that writes, produces, directs and performs. His first play The Kaffirs was well received, winning three awards at the Ishashalazi Gauteng Department of Arts and Culture in 2017. The play also won the Standing Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival in 2017.

Marketing and Publicity

Lorraine Moropa is our Marketing and Publicity officer, more especially our social media platforms. She is an actor by profession, graduated top of her class at CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. 

OutReach Officer

 

Sindiwe Mntonintshi is our Projects Coordinator. She is an energetic soul, outgoing, enthusiastic, ambitious and talented actress by profession. She completed her Higher Certificate in Television, Film and Theatre at AFDA. Then went to pursue an her love for acting at CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts, where she obtained her Diploma in Professional Acting for Camera.

Her first professional performance was in the theatre play "In her shoes" which premiered at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2016. She has since then worked on various theatre shows such as Forbidden Knowledge, Uyabizwa, SHE and also had her first film debut in an international film called Liberty.

She is current head of our OutReach program.

Marketing and Publicity

Patrick Sithole works within our Marketing and Publicity office. He is a trained and qualified actor by profession. He gained his Diploma qualification with CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. He was part of the successful theatre show The Kaffirs directed by Charlie Samson that won the Standard Bank Standing Ovation Award in 2017. He made his international debut on an international television series called Our Girl in 2017. He is currently writing a film titled Gamble to be produced by Kwethu Arts.

Human Resource

​

Mswazi Yende is our Human Resource Officer. Mostly known as @Beats_the_God, he is a young, energetic, charismatic and a very creative person. He completed his Diploma in Acting for Camera at CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts.  He debuted professionally with the production called The Kaffirs, that went on to represent Gauteng at the National Arts Festival.

He is also our Mcee at Art Corner Sunday. 

Projects Coordinator

​

Sivuyise "Sivu" Kibido is our projects coordinator. She is an actress, singer and song writer by profession. She has always had a passionate for the arts from a very young age. She has won the Best Actress Award for the 2017 Ishashalazi Theatre Festival held by the Gauteng Department of Arts and Culture. She is driven and a hard worker.
